Das Luxus Filmkollektiv setzt sich aus Filmemacher*innen und Freund*innen zusammen – Kameramann Jonas Schmieta, Kostüm- und Szenenbildnerinnen Elena Ortega und Julia Schleißner, Autorin und Regisseurin Eva Matz und Produzent Jascha Loos. Seit 2021 arbeitet das Team u.a. an einer analog gedrehten Poetry Kurzfilmreihe, die unbequeme, sozialpolitische Themen behandelt. Neben Mockumentarys und fiktionalen Kurzfilmen geben sie durch diese Filmreihe der Poesie des einundzwanzigsten Jahrhunderts eine neue Bühne.
Ihr erster Film ZYKLUS wurde auf zahlreichen Festivals, wie dem Filmfest Bremen, dem Northernlights Filmfestival Island und dem Interfilm int. Kurzfilmfestival gezeigt und ausgezeichnet. Ihr zweiter Film ICH WILL NICHT LAUT SEIN MÜSSEN startete seine Festival-Reise 2024 mit gleichem Erfolg und feierte seine Internationale Premiere im Rahmen des Vienna Shorts int. Filmfestival und wurde u.a. auf dem BuSho Film Festival Budapest und dem Greenpoint Film Festival in New York mit Preisen ausgezeichnet, sowie mit dem Kurzfilmpreis des Filmfest Spezial.

The Luxus film collective is made up of filmmakers and friends – cinematographer Jonas Schmieta, costume and set designers Elena Ortega and Julia Schleißner, writer and director Eva Matz and producer Jascha Loos. Since 2021, the team has been working on an analogue poetry short film series that deals with uncomfortable, socio-political topics. In addition to mockumentaries and fictional short films, they are giving the poetry of the twenty-first century a new stage through this film series.
Their first film ZYKLUS was shown and awarded at numerous festivals such as the Bremen Film Festival, the Northern Lights Film Festival Iceland and the Interfilm International Short Film Festival. Her second film ICH WILL NICHT LAUT SEIN MÜSSEN started its festival journey in 2024 with the same success and celebrated its international premiere at the Vienna Shorts int. film festival and was awarded prizes at the BuSho Film Festival Budapest and the Greenpoint Film Festival in New York, among others, as well as the Short Film Award of the Filmfest Spezial.
